Junior Planner

Planner, Junior. New build multi-storey Residential RC frame development in west London. Good understanding of construction procedures. IT literate in Asta Powerproject. Need to have good oral and written communication skills. Site based role on a new project. £42,500 - £47,500

Project involves:

• RC frames in multiple blocks from 6 to 22 floors
• External cladding
• Internals and fit out
• M&E and services

Ideally. Relevant experience working on substantial Residential projects for a Developer or Contractor. Exposure from conception to completed frame and handover is ideal, with a good knowledge of how variations impact on the programme and timeline.

Alternatively. You may be a Civil Engineer or Graduate wishing to move into a planning role, you will have a sound understanding of the construction processes and be looking for a move into planning.

Junior Planner - Requirements:

• Communication skills must be strong in both oral and written expression.
• Experience with Asta Powerproject.
• Your role will involve working closely with the Commercial, Site and Technical teams.
• A practical planning understanding developed from experience in working on construction sites.
• A promising level of professional competence, with a basic understanding of construction planning.
• Proficiency to manage own time and workloads.
• Knowledge of Residential build schemes.
• A positive outlook, enthusiastic, thorough, ambitious, and hard working
• A desire to develop and learn combining work with career development.

Responsibilities include:

• Translating detailed information from contract documents into Construction programmes
• Formulating short- and medium-term programmes
• Ensuring that programmes and revised programmes are distributed to all relevant parties including project team and sub-contractors
• Co-ordinating and managing information within the project, including design and technical information.
• Forecasting and reporting variations from the agreed construction programme and cost plan
• Liaison with Project Management and the Commercial side

This is a position with an established contractor / developer. This contract has 24 months programme duration. There are large projects in the pipeline to follow on. You would be producing short, medium, and long-term programmes and must be self-motivated. Primarily using Asta Powerproject, you must be able to capable of discussing all aspects of the construction sequence with the site team to identify potential delays and pinch points. You will be working with an experienced Planner.

Salary and Package. The overall Package of £42,500 - £47,500 is negotiable dependant on your proven experience and ability, with a degree of flexibility. Immediate start available.
