Job description

Carpenter (PAYE DIRECT) - City of London, Canary Wharf

We are looking for experienced 1st and 2nd fix Carpenter for our client that undertake commercial & retail fit-out construction projects in and around City of London & East London. This is a permanent positon with great opportunity for training and progression into Supervisor, Site manager and beyond.

Main Duties:

  • 1st & 2nd fix
  • Read drawings & plans
  • Install ceilings, walls and fire products associated with walls and ceilings

Requirements:

  • 3yrs experience
  • CSCS Card
  • Min NVQ2 or City & Guilds
  • Driving licence (preferred)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred, not essential)

    Working Foreman- City of London

    Our client is a commercial fit out contractor that works on projects across Central London and England.

    They are currently recruiting for a Working Foreman to work on commercial fit out and fabric maintenance projects in London and occasionally outside of London (must have Drivers License). They want someone from a trade background (ideally a Carpenter, Dryliner or Painter) that can work on the tools as well as manage a small team.

    This is a great opportunity to get in with a business that has a strong pipeline of work, have lots of overtime on offer and are industry leaders at what they do.

    The ideal Working Foreman will have:

    • Supervisory experience on commercial fit out/fabric maintenance projects
    • Carpentry/Drylining/Painting background
    • SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS Card
    • Valid UK Driver License
    • Experience running labour
    • Experience working in live environments
    • Happy to work night shifts and weekends

    • Salary: £190 - £210 per day OOH work in the evenings and weekend
