Job Description
Our client is seeking mobile crane mechanics under a permanent or contractor status (as per the workers’ personal wishes)
You will initially be represented by Construct Recruitment to our client, a nationwide company and Australia’s leading supplier of lifting solutions.
Construct Recruitment is an international employment agency specialising in the Construction, Civil Engineering and Mining Sectors throughout Europe, the Middle East and Australasia since 2000.
The most important requirements to be successful in the role are as follows:
- Previous experience maintaining and diagnosing issues with mobile cranes;- in particular Demag and Franna. Familiarity with computerised cranes and audio synchronies.
- We would also consider experienced diesel fitters with a strong aptitude for welding
Core duties and responsibilities for the above openings will include (but not be limited to):
Responsibility for major maintenance of mobile cranes within the company’s Moranbah workshop, mobile diagnostic and repair services for cranes on location at surrounding mine sites, together with ability to repair structural components of the mobile crane fleet.
Hours of Work:
At present the company works a 12 hour day Mon-Friday from 6am-6pm, with penalty rates applying after 8 hours and increased again after 10 hours.
The company is committed to employee satisfaction and there is an impending decision on creating various shift options, and an increased EBA to suit the individual employees’ requests.
Accommodation:
Initially a worker can expect to be provided free single room accommodation with shared lounge at the company’s headquarters with food being provided at the nearby Mac camp. Provided the company is a good match for the employee, a house will then be offered.
Coal Board Medical and Generic inductions are an advantage but successful applicants will also be required to sit an in-house medical.
In addition to the above, a pre-starting medical and drug test is required by the company.
